Which Founder are you?
The founding of the United States was marked by an opposition to rule by powerful monarchs and elites. After the American Revolution, prominent leaders in the colonies came together to design a limited government with checks and balances which would protect the rights of its citizens.
Fittingly, no one person dominated the debates about the form the United States government would eventually take–instead, the founding of the country was a collaborative effort by many people. Though the Founders all had different ideas, they were able to create the United States Constitution through discussion, collaboration, and compromise.
The Founders not only had different ideas, they also had different personalities—you can find out which Founder you have most in common with by taking the Which Founder Are You? Quiz. You can also learn more about the Founders and their contributions by visiting America’s Founders Online.
